I came across their website includes everything for a little under $1500 I was wondering if anyone has tried it
in my opinion those tremec 5spds aren't what a lot of people think they are.
I concour with the 2-3 shift issues with the Tremec TKO. Got an early Keisler and was around $4500 with the bellhousing etc. At high rpm it will not go 2-3. On the highway cruising at 72 mph it is 2150 rpm with 3:54 Dana. Nice. My pal waited 5 YEARS for the Passon 5. And he was told 100 miles of break in per hundred horsepower. That's 700. NOT highway. I'm 62. 5 years for the trans then a year to break in?I would think for 1500$ you are getting the install kit WITHOUT the trans. When I put a TKO600 in my Chevelle after everything was said and done I had close to 3800$ in it.Thats with me sourcing the clutch, bellhousing, crossmember and nuts and bolts ect. If I had it to do over would go with a Gear Vendors OD. FYI the TKO requires a revlimiter so when you miss the 2-3 shift you wont hurt the engine. You will miss it at high rev powershifting, again and again. Then you can send it to Liberty and have it faceplated and still miss 2-3. Not a well thought out design if you ask me. MY 2cents.
