Anyone know this 72 clone in Sioux Falls?

Are you sure that's a clone??? It says coupe.... but doesn't mention clone anywhere.

I found it twice

This Road Runner clone has been treated to a high end restoration of a rock solid, western, rust free rocket. It's powered by the iconic 440 4 barrel V8. Lots of goodies are included in this powerhouse, including an AM/FM stereo, "Strato Vent" ventilation system, power steering, power brakes, air grabber hood, front spoilers, power driver's seat and more. Finished in Richard Petty Blue, sitting on new TSW machined 18" wheels and brand new tires. This Road Runner also has GTX badging as well, which is period correct when powered by the 440. This head-turner is sure to win all kinds of show trophies. The best part it, it's turn-key ready to be driven and shown off!

From the pictures it looks like a really clean car. I don't think it is that far off price wise. The car doesn't have high inherent value, but it looks like it is a very nice, complete car. That adds some value right there. Wax it and drive it, you will recoup your money just in doing that for a few years.

My wife drives a 2012 charger blacktop!
She would love to trade it in on a hellcat, but other than that she loves it.
I appreciate the advice. Its advice I have used a few times before. Not an investment car, but one my wife and I could enjoy.
I still think its high though. Looks like I could pick up some real runners for that price.
In fact theres a black on black on ebay right now, matching numbers 400-4 asking $33,900. Real nice one too.
Since I dont have the time, space, tools, skills or motivation to restore one, my philosophy is find the nicest one you can, within budget, and drive and enjoy the heck out of it.

PS, heres our two:

The cuda is for sale, and part proceeds going to a RR

Very nice cars! Mine is red. My 73 RR is a numbers matching 400 4 spd. It's clean enough for me to drive around for quite awhile before I have to do the bodywork to make it perfect. I didn't pay a ton for it either. There are definitely better deals out there than that car. Depends on how realistic the seller is. These cars don't get that kind of money even for the non cloned ones (I'm sure there are exceptions to that though- GTX, survivor etc).

looks like a clean example i would think it would be worth at least 25-30k. It has somethings on it that makes you wonder, like the wrong grill, 68 roadrunner emblem on dash, gtx badges, looks like he's missing some of the airgrabber components, missing the interior dome light. I can't tel the shape of the wiring harnesses, or what its like under the car, also is the suspension new?

Honestly cant say. I can only tell so much from the pictures. They did send me a couple pictures of the underbody and it looked clean and seemed to have the factory undercoating, but shiny new nuts/bolts in different locations for those electric seats? It is a clone but obviously not a correctly completed one.

Def a clone... Vin is RP not RM and about $15 k overpriced imho

You really think that Black car is a "real nice one?" There is so much to correct from the horrible wheels to steering wheel to steering column to rear seat to radiator to engine paint to etc... it is far from real nice but real overpriced.
Ron

Never said the TX9 was perfect, but yes I think its real nice. Sure it needs some things. Obviously has the wrong grill. Column shift was obviously changed at some point. I would replace the steering column among other things. Probably also add an air grabber hood. Just because. And of course I would keep/store any original parts I changed.
I didnt notice the radiator. Not correct?
My cuda is not a "real" car. I have enjoyed it a lot of years, and made it mine, changing things as I saw fit. If I pick up a "real" roadrunner (I hate that term) I will have to make sure its one I will love from day one just as it is, knowing I will have to live with it a lot of years making only non-permanent changes. And in the case of the TX9 on ebay, that would include taking the time to make some of those changes back to the way it was in 1972.

PS
Just noticed they raised the price on the petty blue car from $31 to $35k! Forget that
And after checking again it looks to me like one of the new black aluminum core radiators.

Man you're crazy to sell a 71 cuda'. How much???

I've seen a lot of nice 71 and 72 Roadrunners coming up for private sale in the $12k-$15k range. I expect a dealer to ask for more, but not that much more. Of course, if he can find a The Bigger Idiot to buy the car, then more power to him or her.

I was confused on the 'black car', too. I thought you were talking about the modern Charger. I do like the green 1971 'cuda.

I'd like to see some of these "nice" RR's for 12-15K. All the ones that I've seen in that price need about 10-15K of work to be "nice".

Frank, On the stripe it is a black reflective stripe that's the way they look in certain lighting....
It appears like a nice solid car from the pics that would need a bunch of stuff unbolted and replaced for my liking especially the grille, seats, wheels and the steering wheel for starters.
