On my list and any advice on what I believe will be an awkward job appreciated. Also, whether they are even available.

With cluster out, it pulls out, and pushes in. It should be available from Napas, but if not, at least Year One should have one.

Put in lots of them napa number is ech IR9 Like bee said, it just has spades and pulls out/pushs in....

Have you thought about a solid state one? Both my dad and I have them in our mopars, works great.

Solid state is the only way to go. Saves blinking and erratic displays. Not much more $ than mechanical unit. Bought mine at Dashworks I think.

You may just want to take a peek at your limiter before you order. The one on my 71 bolts or screws on with the wires connected with a spade type connector.

I just installed a solid state this winter, gauges don't jump around anymore, only way to go if your replacing.

Good idea, Depends if you have rallye gauges or the printed circuit board.

Thanks guys, not a rallye guage. Can someone tell me exact location, mine is a 73 car? I believe these dont have the regulator integrated with the fuel guage, just pull out as indicated I will google solid state, needs. To be shipped to UK so I will need to check suppliers.
