was fairly simple. If all you want is the clock
upgrade I can do it.

yes and every now and then it works.

I think RTEngineering used to sell the clock kit. There's mention on it on a link they provide to an article in Mopar Collectors Guide.
I got my quartz clock kit from Clock4Cars on ebay, but after cleaning my original clock it worked find so I haven't installed the new kit. It was $75 back in 2012.

My offer still stands Dave if you want it. I can inspect your original mechanism and clean and lube and repair if it’s salvageable or do the upgrade. You do lose the tick with the quartz upgrade. I think if you are mechanically inclined you could easily do it.
