Solenoid gave out, ordered one on Amazon as no one local had one.
Replaced it after some drama I created.
It now floods the pad with way too much water.
I put the restrictor back in the out line.
I discovered the old one was labeled 3/64 orifice and the new is 3/32. I can't find any for sale marked 3/64.
I would have thought the restrictor would make any of them work?
And the orifice fell out so I never saw it installed but assumed it goes this way based on black witness marks on that end and it fits nice into the plastic line.
Any thoughts about how to tame the output?

Epoxy the hole closed and drill it out to 3/64. You have too much flow with the larger orifice. But you knew that.

lost the restrictor long ago.
i just throttle down the isolation ball valve and monitor the flow

I put the old restrictor in, that's what is baffling me.

And part of the fun is the valve that cuts this feed is broke, I discovered that in a very wet fashion, can't throttle down without replacing the valve. Turned the supply off to the hot water heater to do the work

I have an ice maker tap into my hot water for my humidifier. Just close the valve a little as needed.

Yes, that would be an option if the valve still worked, it's broke stuck open.
It's a ridiculous amount of water coming through that little yellow restrictor
