Is there any service out there that can research the original selling dealer for my 69 Bee? I e-mailed Govier but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Wait a minute. Looks like they only go up to '67. Sorry about that.

No way no how. I wish there was. Let us know if you discover a new way to do this.

Do not wait for Galen Govier to email back !!!

Good Luck waiting for Galen Govier to return a email .:eusa_think:..If you sent a email to the Pope at the same time you sent one to GG..The Pope will get you back first...Rick

Further, if you see or hear from Galen, tell him I have a SunPro Tach strapped to the steering column. With a rusty hose clamp. He will like that.

Diane over at GTS responded to my e-mail....didn't say that they didn't do it. She said "let's start with the vin".

There may be hope.....I will keep everyone updated when I hear back.

Mine's a clone, but it'd still be interesting to know how many owners and what original dealer had it.

That would be nice to find the original dealer and see if they are still in business. And if they are whether they would've saved and paperwork on your car.

Not saying i need to know all the previous owners, but i would like to know the selling dealer.

Understood. I'd just like to know how many times mine traded hands before landing in my garage. There were some... interesting... "repairs" done to it that needed to be repaired. :eusa_think:

I been trying to find list of dealers via dealer numbers. My car still has service stickers in the glove box from the first two years of service and has the dealer numbers listed.
But I cant find a list of them anywhere. Not that really matters, but like said before, be cool to know.

Good luck on your search, but you might have better route findind previous owner back to the buying owner. Chances are the purchased at local dealer.

Good topic. I thought I had read that Galen Govier was not providing any services 'until further notice'. When I read that I seem to remember something about Diane not working there anymore. Maybe I remember it wrong. Anyway, it took a very long time to get my car in his registry.
There is a database of dealerships available at
http://maxwedge.com/dealerships/
Nice effort but not a whole lot of info available yet. That kinda thing takes a lot of time and he is asking for any info. I know that my car was originally sold by Frontier Dodge in Great Falls, Montana. I also have the Certicard with the original owner's name. Frontier Dodge is no longer in business and I've made tons of inquiries about that dealership. I would love to have a dealer logo to have a tag frame made.
Good luck with your project.

I love it when people start throwin Galen Goober's name around. He's spot on with a lot of stuff......but other's, he's so far off base, you'd think you were talkin to a retard. No offense to retards.

dealer emblems..

Those old dealer tags add a nice touch to a car. Tough to find nice ones these days.

I found this in a antique/junk shop last week. NOS. Central motors was a big Mopar dealer in Birmingham Alabama but is long gone now.

Oh god NO! those dealer pieces were the worst thing they ever did, pimp their own dealership ugg those are ugly I always hated those made the car look junky. Usually see them on southern cars too some sort of trend like bell bottoms lol
