Hello all, I am very excited to be a part of this group, and look forward to working with and learning from the group. I briefly owned a 69 GTX in the late 70's, but also got married, had kids, yata, yata, yata, and had to sell. I never gave up on the idea of having another one some day, and that day came yesterday with the acquisition of a 68 GTX. It has had quite a bit of work done on it, but it has a ways to go, and I hope that with the help of this group, the project can be finished and I can continue my recovery from addiction to these wonderful old cars!

Best regards,

Barry

hi and welcome to the site ,lets see your 68 GTX we love our car **** here :headbang:

Welcome from Maine!

Thanks for the welcome from all! I posted some photos of the 1968 I just purchased from Steve Mazzarini out of Bessemer, PA. He did all of the heavy lifting on the restoration of this car, and did a great job. The rest is detail work that I will do in the coming months (years?). Speedo, fuel gage, blower, etc. need work. I am a purist at heart, but this is not a numbers matching car, so I will keep it close and make the changes I want. Steve already put 3 deuces and a pistol grip 4 speed (changes I like), but I can already tell I do not like the drum brakes with no power booster. Also, no tach and no oil pressure gage, gotta find options for this. Anyway, the journey begins and I couldn't be happier with the car and the challenges ahead!
