Article by me on removing rust

Thanks, that was good.

I've ruined just about every metal object I own with muriatic acid.....the fumes never stop creeping around the shop and etching things........it etches them so "clean" that they rust badly.........of course you don't realize the part or tool is etched and rusted until six month later.

Just recently started using phosphate stuff.....WAY better and doesn't burn you...etc.

Using phosphoric acid products, how to find them and which one to select.

Thanks for the info!!

It should work on these little spots huh? I tried to dig them out but it wasn't much help. Nervous to go after it with a dremel.

What about Rust Mort? I've used it on rust, it hardens up and turns black. I then etch-primed it. Haven't painted yet though.

I'm curious about the auto grade cold galvanizing paint. Is this something that you plan on leaving on. Do you lay some kind of primer over it once you get ready for paint?
