Go here and read up. Recently I posted about the Muggyweld Super Alloy #1 for welding pot metal etc. Please read up on here before ordering and or using the product as it does off gas cadmium fumes. Bad chit. #22 on the list of articles. This has been a public service announcement brought to you by.....Randy's Muscle Cars...Home of the Express. lol.

I always have a box fan around me to pull off any fumes or Argon from me when I'm welding. Usually have my face fairly close to the area so I can see the weld puddle better.

Me too, the fan is a life saver. But you know there is some body out there that pays no heed to this stuff and hopefully they will get a clue and stay above ground.

From the little i know different rods have more manganese then others. Was told long ago manganese was bad news. Welding in a confined space is always a issue with fumes. Always a good idea to use a proper respirator and proper ventilation. Its probably to late for me as I've been at it more years then id like to remember but thanks for the links.
