I am bringing a 18 spline trans to Carlisle for B and E it is rebuilt very nice shape. $1800.00

Could you please describe what about this one was replaced or rebuilt?

I don't remember I have had a number of transmissions but at least a basic kit from Brewers but clean inside.
 
I also remember someone cut input about 1/2 inch have the roller bearing for the input to compensate.
 
What are the chances of finding a replacement 18 spline input shaft? Do these ever pop up for sale from time to time?
 
You can buy new splines shafts.
