Is there a chart or information about the engine sizes in Super Stock back in the 60's? Looking for SS/GA

Not that will be interesting! I’m curious.

Not sure this is what your looking for ?

current NHRA super stock - SS/G is 9#s per HP factory rating
not sure about the SS/GA
I assume that's an automatic, separate class back in the day
maybe "NHRA heritage/nostalgia" rules may apply (?)

here's the classes
stock & super stock

If Hemi is A and B or C is 440, what is 426, 413,383, and 361. I was thinking G is pretty far down the horsepower list and someone mentioned that it was 426 street wedge. That didn't seem right to me but I don't know the breaks. I thought that info might be around what Super Stock was back in the mid 60's.

Also you may want to look into/or for 'Modified Production' classes
from the 60-70s : -/MP

or possible now it's in Comp Eliminator, has a # per/cid,
it's cut throat
my 1806# 23 t altered ran 6#s per cid, a SBC 301cid 6:71 Blown Injected AA/Gas
weight break for a SB, in the later 70's, 7.90s & middle of the pack

My stepdad Bob ran SS/H 1964 Pontiac GTO it was like 12.50s @ 107-ish,
389 4 speed '340hp rated IIRC', 9" slick
it was more than 340hp, that was the factory rating
SS/G 1970 Judge GTO it was like 12.20 @ 109-ish (Maybe)
400 Ram Air III, 4 speed '366hp factory rated' (IIRC ?), 9" slick

I don't remember the weight values, they didn't have interiors, carpeting etc.
just the 1 seat, harness & a rollbar

I was 7-12 y/o 1966-1971-ish

depending on what car he had GTO or Firebird & then his Judge
(so not 100% sure)

Maybe check out some old mags, National Dragster
or like 'Super Stock & Drag Illustrated' monthly
from that era

It depends on the calendar year. As different cars came out, and others were refactored it was changing a lot year to year.

In the 1973 I remember a 70 Hemi Cuda was SS/D because, I went racing with a friend and he drove his neighbor’s car. Way back when Edgewater had a NHRA national event.
