since I posted any progress on the Road Runner. I told myself that I would get back to work on her after hunting season (yup, everything gets put on hold for deer\duck hunting :D ) . So, back to work we go. I have spent the past two weekends stripping out the interior and taking pics so when the time comes, I can hopefully put everything back together. Everything but the headliner is out. Sound deadener is on order, and with any luck the core support will go back on this weekend. I know we associate better with pictures rather than text..... so will post some pics tonight :) Thanks to everyone for all the advice as of recent. I finally decided to go with Painless for the wiring, it just looks better and seems more simple to me. Makes more sense to go that route since I will be going electric fans and some other mods (Retro stereo, led lighting, possible exhaust cutouts, etc). So, that is about it for now.......

Welcome back - hasn't been the same without ya..........

Core support is back in place! Happy Day! A good friend helped me stitch it back in place. Lined up perfectly!

Dash and interior completely removed. Going to reinsulate the interior with sound deadening mats and rewire the dash. Decided to go with the Painless kit.

Taken right after the instrument cluster was removed. By far the most nerve wracking part of the disassembly. Had to be extra careful not to break the unmolested cluster. Cleaned gauges and panel. Looks new again.

Picked up a stud welder this past weekend to tackle the rocker panel and trunk dents to make it a little easier for the body shop boys when they get her. Been a while since I used one, but getting the hang of it again. Wife is catching on to me though.....have the complete interior and half the motor stashed in my den. She says I can't store while car in house. Lol! Getting it in one piece at a time hahaha! That's about all for now. I will put up more progress picsafter this weekend, I hope.

Spent all day Fri and sat working on getting the softball size sent out of trunk. Lots of time with the stud welder/puller and blending filler in to where it is in pics with guide coat on. Gonna do some more shaping, but looking good so far.......

For the progress from last week. Managed to get the new core support welded in with help from a good friend and his welder. Everything lined back up perfectly....which is good seeing how it was a first for both of us. Really all that's left is the lower quarter and passenger rocker. Is it just me or did all these cars get some kind of major rocker damage? Lol. Will get a pic of current rocker. It has a pretty sharp dent in middle where bottom goes up and almost touches the top. Still debating pulling and massaging metal or cutting old rocker off and replacing with new one that I have....Will post up what I'm looking at and see what y'all think.....

Thanks flypaper, thankfully the weather has been really nice here. So I've really been capitalizing on it. Would like to have a majority of work done by this summer.

To cold!?!?!? My *** its freaking 90°+ out side. It is the coolest time of the year here so I better not complain, temp could go up.
