Bent Strut Rod

I was cleaning up my strut rods and found that one was bent and pretty upset around the shoulder on one end. How critical is that for steering and safety? Is this something I can correct by heating and bending? Does anyone have a one that is in good shape I could buy for a reasonable price?

I noticed one of my strut rods had a shallow curve/bend in it when rebuilding the suspension. I put it in a press and it easily straightened out. No need for heat. Not sure about the upse end - if the threads are in good shape or can be cleaned up and the shoulder locates the bushing washer solidly - should be OK.
