what is everyone finding as the best complete exhaust system to purchase? I have a 440 with hp manifolds. I want something that has a nice sound but not too much drone in the car. I've looked at tti and accurate, both look good but a little pricy. Thanks any recommendations would be appreciated

I am using TTI on my 340, nice system, there customer support was good when I had questions during install. I have their headers, mid pipes, mufflers, and tail pipes, with factory style machine gun tips adapted for my roadrunner.

ACCURATE EXHAUST like orginal Mopar eom exhaust. They are pricey, but you get your moneys worth!!!

Gardner Exhaust from NY
I bought one of their systems for my 1969 SC Rambler
Tops, bar none!

Believe it or not, after I got tired of not being able to hear my stereo at full volume, I switched my cherry bombs mufflers to Walker tail pipes & mufflers and have been happy with them. Walker only sells stock 2-1/4" diameter tailpipes & mufflers, so they are not "high performance", but good for my use + they fit with factory exhaust tips. You would also need the "mid-pipe" (aka "H-pipe) but I'm not running theirs (headers on my car). Walker is cheap and decent quality.

Cherry bombs! LOL, I used to run those on my roadrunner back in the 80's, loud as hell!!! I remember those days!

ECS (or Gardner) if you want exact OEM reproductions. If you want/need date stamped mufflers ECS is your only choice. Correct clamps from Frank Baldaston or it looks like Gardner has them in with their kits. Nobody is cheap...

Magnaflow is my choice for non OE application. They have head pipes too.

I priced their full system for my Super Bee.
$1000CDN for a bolt in stainless steel system is an excellent price...plus, it sounds fantastic!

Accurate, TTI or Flowmaster I've used all 3 with great success
Flowmaster was the least expensive IIRC, TTI was the most $$$ of the 3
Accurate was a nice near OE quality, but with a little better sound & flow...
{I have FM Delta 50 Muscle Car Series out the back 3" mandrel with a H-pipe out the back
45* cut of right at the edge of the rear bumpers, it's deep & a bit loud, not too loud
but I don't have a bad drone, you can also put silencers on it like the hemi cars had
& if you want to tame it down a bit, It's a real muscle car I like it aggressive, you need
to have the proper size for the HP/TQ output or if it's too big, it will drone like a MF-er
the proper placement of the H-pipe or X-pipe can make a difference in sound or drone too
}

IMO depends on the car, the mods performance or just a Daily driver
& how aggressive or badass I want it to sound

I also use a Flowmaster Delta Cat-back system single 3" 50 Series
on my 99 Dakota SLT 4x4 Magnum 5.2/318 with a bunch of bolt on stuff
& a 4" system my 02 F-350 4x4 Dually Powerstroke

That's what I'm using on my Coronet. It's just a stock 318 w/2" exhaust, but I wanted the 60's sound.

I am very happy with my full 3" TTI system. I also use TTI 2" headers and Dyno-Max Ultra-Flow mufflers. The TTI fit great but its not the cheapest but worth the money. Ron

I don't know about best, but I have Hooker Super Comp cheapie 2" X 3-1/2' headers (Not TTi's) with a home made 3-1/2" X pipe exhaust to the mufflers & then reduced down to 3" after the mufflers up over the axle thru the stock modified tips at the rear. I bought a bunch of Schoenfeld brand elbows & cut & welded it altogether on the garage floor. Been on the car about 15 years now. Still looks & sound great. I get compliments all the time of how well it sounds at idle but all look so stock. You can kind of see it hanging here.
Best part, I bought the headers used but they looked like new. I only have about $350.00 into it everything from the Headers back.

The title should be changed to Best Budget Complete Exhaust System since that is what the OP is really looking for.

You get what you pay for. The least expensive is what you have already on the car. If you're on a tight budget and aren't needing factory correct exhaust and mainly care how it sounds shop around your area for quotes from local muffler shops.

You'll find that exhaust systems are one of the more expensive ones to replace but will last the rest of your lifetime. Especially, if you keep it out of the weather and always run the engine until it completely reaches full operating temperature each time you start it; this evaporates any moisture in the system preventing rust from the inside.

I had a 68 Charger with Thrush straight through header bombs on it. The day I put it on the road,I got pulled over by the police! I didn't even get a mile from my house!

Thanks, I've heard good things about accurate and apparently the hemi mufflers they supply sound nice
