What applicator is best for this skim coat. The plastic one that you use for filler or a more flexible one for curves etc.

Regular plastic spreaders are fine.

You may want to consider a high build primer instead of filler. Either way you’ll sand 95% of it off.

I thought that a piece of 1/4 rubber would work to into the curves and bends so it would be more flexible but if it's the plastic that's what I will use. I should have gotten into bondo business. You put it on and sand it off and then you put more on. Great money maker.

Can you work the metal or section the panel so no filler is needed?
