I just got a new positive cable fro standard automotive via rock auto.com and it came black? I called rockauto and the guy who helped me fortunately is a RR owner too I had him double check to see if they has made a mistake but they say black cable for positive is normAL? He said checked his car cuz he was curious now and on his 71 his was black too. Anyone else have this? Sorry typing from my smart phone may sound like gibberish.

I have run into that before and in some cases both were red. It might be a decision of the parts store based on economics or the supplier was out of red cables. Another thing I have seen is cables with the same size clamps.

I just moved my battery to the trunk and the #2 cable I bought was black.....no sweat, get some red heat shrink tubing from any auto electric shop and put 3-4" length on each end of your black cable as a reminder that it is "hot".

Yeah little red tape or heat shrink sounds good to avoid the hassle I'll just do that.
