I have a 73 road runner that I'm doing a total restoration of and was wondering if there was a reference some where that would tell me every bolt size in the car? I'm wanting to use all stainless bolts and can get a great deal through work at a local supplier.

Thanks guys

You might have to scour an old parts/assembly manual - if you can find one. Or since you have the car start measuring and logging the data as it comes apart.

I did the same, McMaster Karr is where I got all of mine (button head stainless bolts look great for attaching fenders etc). They had all the threaded clips, really nice wire looms, you name it and at a bargain price (usually sold per 25- 100). Remember to use never seize on stainless bolts (they gull easier). For the most part on my car it was almost all 5/16 X 3/4 and 1/4 X 3/4 like Meep said just look over your old stuff.

I would like to see a picture of the fender bolts in stainless, got one?

My plan is use grade 8 or better in all the suspension parts and stuff like that but all fasteners that exposed to the elements use a high quality stainless. Like brake line hold down bolts, fender bolts and all the screws in the headlight bucket area.

Sorry it took so long, kept forgetting the camera. DSCN8294.jpgDSCN8292.jpg

Nice, that looks cool against the orange. Not so sure how that would look on red, but I suspect a few here and there would be cool. May have to give that a thought later down the road.
