Borgeson Steering Question

Several years ago I installed the borgeson steering box in my 68 charger with a 6.1 hemi. I like the way it drives but when I slow down to park I have little steering assistance and make a lot of whinning from the power steering pump. I have tried several different types of fluid with no change. Does anyone else have this problem and found a solution

I've heard this before. It seems to be a characteristic that many of them have. Functionally, the Borgeson unit is excellent. The noise they make is considered normal.

It won't help much.. but i installed mine in november and finally drove it yesterday.. 40 minute drive and zero noise or issues and i love how it drives now. only complaint for me is the pump gets VERY hot.. 180 on a 65 degree day, will be adding a cooler for sure.
