Hey,

I am going to convert my 68 charger from front drum to power disc.

What kit do you recommend?

I would like to use Magnum 500 wheels.
*What tire sizes can I use on the front and rear?

Check with Dr. Diff on the disc brake conversion. As for wheels, looking for 15”??If so, with the correct backspacing, I’ve seen 245-60/15 front and 295-50/15 on the rear and those fill up the wheel wells nicely.

Thank you, I’m a novice when it comes to tire sizing. What is the best way to determine backspacing?

Measure from the hub face to the leaf springs, inner wheel house or any other thing that may interfere with the wheel/tire Typically 5.5” backspace wheel should work but you need to measure, both sides, to find any inconsistencies. Any suspension changes will affect tire height you can use as well.

I have 275/60/15 on the back of both of my Chargers, BFG Radial TA on the 70 and Cooper Cobra on the 68 both on 8" rims w/ 4 1/2 backspace. 235/60/15 on 7" rims are nice on the front. Chargers will take a lot of tire!

Some recommend 8”in front and back. Others say 7”on the front and 8” on the back. Thoughts?

I have the original hub caps currently.
