I was wondering if they ever made a console with a column shift car ?

Yes. The '66 and '67 Chargers were available with a three-speed column shift AND console. There used to be a '67 Coronet R/T 440 auto car locally that had a column-shift automatic and console. These cars have a "shifter-delete" plate where the shifter and quadrant would normally go. Somewhere in my pile of '66 and '67 stuff, I think I still have this delete plate.
