Anyone ever have the after market graphics "lift"? Right at the center spine of the trunk, my graphics are lifting slightly.

Wondering if anyone tried adhesive (of some sort) to stick it back down....maybe put a sand bag to hold it down after using adhesive....

Any bright ideas from the group?

Thanks in advance,

Pete

There are some products available that seal the edges of the decal to prevent pealing. Some are in a stick form that you roll on and others are like clear coat.
It has been too long since I have used any and I don't remember their names.

If you check a sign supply company, like Wensco, they should have it.

If I get a chance I will pull out some old mags and check for the names. These products may help. If they wont sell to you PM me and I will pick it up and send it to you.

Thanks for the info. The Wensco site seems to be down or something. Couldn't get there. I'll try again later.

Thanks again,
Pete

Do you have a picture of what's going on? Is it pretty much a large air bubble between the sticker and the paint?

Propwash....

Thanks for the response. The car is presently in the shop, so I can't take any pics.

PO said the steering box was leaking and a new steering box was included in the deal. When I put it on the lift to check out, it was soaked, so it became a priority to fix.

Basically it's the leading edge of the graphic, where it goes up and over the spine on hump on the trunk lid. It looks as if, when it was applied, there wasn't enough "slack" left in the graphic, so it's lifting and spanning on both sides of the spine a little bit.

As the other poster suggested, a little stick glue might work, if it was waterproof. Maybe wiggle some under the graphic with a toothpick and lay a sand bag on until it dries?......

Make sense?

Pete
