I have a 62 Dart with a /6. I'm trying to find out which cu.in.
it is. The only numbers I've found is the following:

2202857-7 with 9 27 above it. also, on the block is AAQ0.

Not sure if it is the original engine. I'm looking to rebuild it.

Any help please.

Yup....but not a 195...it was a 198. Here's a lot of info on them but not sure if how to ID one is at this site...

This is the correct answer. The 195 didn't come out until the '70s and was fairly uncommon. Typically if you have a three frost plug slant then it will be pre-67 with the small diameter crank nub. You can tell the 170 (low deck) from the 225 by looking at the water pump bypass hose. If it is really short with the hose clamps almost touching then it is a 170. The 225 bypass is maybe 3" long.

I knew that, it's just drunk spelling. The slant six board is one of the most intelligent and informative sites I have ever been on. If you're planning on building a slant then this is your best resource. I've probably built five /6s and they keep getting better.

for it. It's not going to be radical, maybe just a little hotter cam.

I had a ton of fun at the track when I was 18 winning trophy class with a 65 plymouth super(2brl) slant six 17.5 /1/4 mile.

My friend has a fresh built /6 and rebuilt 904.I think he might sell it/them, he has some go fast stuff already on the motor(cam,intake,carb,dual exhaust manifold).. I went to college with him for engine building.He's a good guy.I could set you two up if you like.At the very least I think he has parts you might want.
