Oh, HELL NO on using a "plastic mesh scrubber" on glass, you'll bork it up big time, I learned that a loooooooooog time ago!!!!!! AMHIK

Tree sap. A soft white old t shirt. And methyl hydrate (I make a point of making sure the rag is wet and let the solution do its work , it evaporates quick. No scouring no picking at the sap with your nails.
Bumper stickers(goo gone) removes glue.

bird droppings, bugs.
Just soap and water.
