i'm trying to find out what this carter came off of part num 3254S AA2, i also have another one EO or EQ 4762S, i really would like to find out what they came off of, i cant find nothing.....
Well, I have checked my 62-74 white book, and neither one is listed. I then consulted my Domestic Interchange Bible, and they are once again skipped. They go from 3253 to 3256, and then 4746S to 4766S. Are you sure you have the numbers correct?
EDIT: We try to keep an inventory of genuine Carter performance carburetors. These will be the Carter original competition series 4758s, 4759s, 4760s, 4761s, 4762s AFB series. Another source says that it is a 750 CFM CArter Performance carb. (http://drag.race-cars.com/partbd/messages/22520.htm)
yep i found that the 4762 is a universal 750 cfm comp. carb, to big for the 360..... but the 3254 is a lot smaller(the barrels are a 1/4 to 1/2 inch smaller in diameter so i geuss it would be about 500 cfm???) and the only thing i could find on it is that its for a chrysler corp car from 1960 to 1964 i cant find a cfm rateing......
A 750 isn't to big but I wouldn't be useing it for a cruiser car. The 360 would have to turn some RPM to swallow that up and make good use of it. It'd have to be a pumped up engine for consideration.
