BUYER BEWARE!

The following is not just my opinion, but rather my account of what a popular vendor did to me. The following is Fact. I purchased a new instrument bezel (reproduction) for my '67 GTX. Their retail price is $325. I won mine on an eBay "AUCTION.": The item was listed by "PG CLASSIC" under eBay name eparts4cars. They have a good rating by eBay. I gave them positive feedback because the part arrived and is a beautiful reproduction of the dash instrument bezel. HOWEVER... it has a manufacturing defect! The perimeter of the back edge is warped and neither their reproduction lens ($175 retail) nor my original lens will fit. I contacted the company and spoke with a very nice young lady who explained that as I had won the item on an "AUCTION", their stated policy is no refunds or exchanges. She offered to contact the owner, Mr. Peter Gee and see if he would consider replacing this defective item. He would not, and once again she cited the "AUCTION" status policy. SO? Well, you can do what you wish when it comes to selecting what company(s) you buy your reproduction parts from. I know one Canada based company I won't be dealing with in the future when I look for a new console, console cover, console glove box lid, interior door handles, tail light lenses, glove box doors etc for my beautiful, now being restored 1967 Belvedere GTX!!!! PEACE to all my fellow MOPAR enthusiasts.

Was it listed in the auction as defective in any way, or a "second" ?

..........and even if it was NOT, you should file a claim against them as selling you a defective item that in no way fits the description........If it can't be used, it's defective OR deceptive.......Either way, you should be covered, and shipping both ways.

thanks for the tip. It was listed normally with no indication it was defective. Just a standard auction.

If you paid with a credit card or paypal you might contact them with the complaint. I have heard of people being able to return mechandise or get thier money back by going this route. Even so, you would think the vendor would stand behind the product.

Hopefully you paid with PayPal! They have been good to me with deals like this. It takes a long time to get it sorted out though. Good luck!
