I have my new bezel and lenses that I bought for my 67 charger. Today I removed from my old bezel and removed the circular metal frames on the inside of the bezel frame, which hold the lenses in the bezel. My question is , what type of black caulking is used to secure the lense in place? The same caulk appears to hold the circular metal frame in place. Finally, the round black centers have two pegs, one short and one long, how are those secured to the outside of the lense? Thank you.

When those prongs go through the holes I think you should be able to heat something, push down on the prong and melt the end. i would possibly try butyl ribbon lens to housing. Are there tabs on the housing that can be melted also? Can take a look at my stuff tomorrow.

I used ultra black silicone to seal the edges of the lenses
It is very close to what the factory used

Use an old soldering iron to melt the tabs over to hold the metal and the volcanos in place

There are plastic tabs on the new bezel, I didn't realize that they could be melted to hold the metal ring. I'll take another look at the bezel.

A old soldering gun is a good choice, thank you. I didn't realize those tabs will melt over the metal ring to hold in place. When I removed my metal rings the black silicone adhesive was on each tab bent over holding the ring in place. Also there was a thin layer of the black silicone around the entire lens on all four lenses. The black center cone is one interesting detail, especially with the melted tabs on the cone. It looks like a piece of clear plastic was fitted over the back of the cone as well. Can you imagine how many of these bezels were trashed at the manufacturer factory, with the detail needed to produce this bezel. I can't imagine who would have designed such a detailed item for a 60's muscle car.

I have repo bezels, fairly early production. We spent a lot of time adjusting it to fit the dash as well as the old one did. I suggest you do a lot of test fitting, and check to see if your screws are not too large in diameter.
