Hello from Edmonton , Canada. I have a 74 Charger, ( and a couple of Dodge trucks, a 96 4X4 360, and a 6.7 Diesel for work).
I've had the Charger for 2 years, and I'm keeping it a driver.
I just do some small things at a time to keep it from being a long term project.
I had a 1973 Charger back when I was younger, and the wife said , let's get another one. The 73 was a 318 car, same as this one, and I transplanted a 340 and 727 trans into it.
I had the idea to do the same thing again , so last year, I started looking for
a good 340 from an auto wrecker. No luck.
But A local auto wrecker did have a 340 6-pack set-up.
Yes, the complete unit with all the linkages, carbs, intake, from a 1970 340 car. The air cleaner has original decals saying not to open the scoop during rain, and it shows some signs of use.
He said he had been storing the 6-pack for quite a few years,
but did not know anything about the car.
I also found some J heads with 2.02 valves, and a waterpump and thermostatic fan.
I know that it is not restoration, but a modified 6-pack is probably more
interesting than a stock 318 2 barrel.
I am posting in the builds section under 74 ChAARger , and having some fun
with the car.
