Hello all! My name is Justin, I'm almost 30, and I've recently saved a 1970 Dodge Charger 500 (318/904) from the crusher! It's an all numbers matching car that's in need of a complete and total restoration. It hasn't moved since the owner sat it on its belly in the desert back in 1979. It needs over half of its body in new metal, and the engine needed a complete overhaul with 92,*** miles.

Though it IS a numbers matching car, I plan on mothballing the 318/904 combo and installing a 440/727 combo I picked up for cheap. My plans for the 440 are outrageous, and I'm aiming for 800-1000 HP NA with only nitrous added, no forced induction (yet). I've already planned most of the build, aside from head/intake/carb combo, though I've got a good idea.

A stroker kit is in the works, along with a million other upgrades. plan on either buying the 440 Source Stealth CNC ported heads or some Edelbrock Victors with a good PnP job. I'm thinking of using an Edelbeock Multi-quad intake, but have been hearing a lot of talk about a 3x2 barrel setup being more performance oriented.

Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Here's some pics from when I bought it about a month ago. It's been completely stripped since then, so I'll share more detailed pics later!

Thanks! It'll be quite the project, but it doesn't dissuade me from taking it on! It's the journey that makes the project such an accomplishment anyway. I look forward to using this site for consultation as I reach difficult obstacles!
