In the 1960's our neighbor across the street was Robert (Bob) Hamilton, owner of Courtesy Chevrolet on Stevens Creek Blvd in San Jose, CA. Just found during some internet searches that in 1965 Bob financed the first fabrication ever to fit a blower atop the big block Chevy. It was placed into an AA/AD dragster he sponsored.

Nice 'chutepack' FE dragster, 1st year with a Mark IV BBC
canted valve cylinder heads in 1965 it'd be a 396cid based
unless it had a custom combo
