82 and stiil kickin it. Seen him at Summit over the past weekend, ran a 4 second pass.

cool guy, great story teller, still kicken a$$,
I've seen him many times over the years,
1st Top Fuel race was 1971, he's in his mid-late 80's now,
I'm not sure he should be driving a Top Fuel car anymore,
but he's been doing longer, than allot of drivers have been alive...

Still a great story teller...
your right about driving, but still sharp as a tack...

Well, if he couldn't pass the physical, he wouldn't be driving.....

Did anyone see the feature on him? He was a guard at the Nuremberg Trials after WWII. He had other WWII stories, too. He may be cutting a year or two off his age if he's saying he's "only" 82. We've enjoyed visiting his pits at some races over the past few years. It's like taking a step back 30 years - small trailer pulled by a Dodge dually, small crew and operation. Really cool old school experience.
