I am in need of ten (10) new screws for my tail lights. I tried the pan head screws with the #8 heads and the #8 heads do not fit into recessed area in the lens and stand out. The 1972 requires five (5) 2-1/2” screws for each lens, so if anyone has these on their shelf and are up to sharing or selling, please let me know. I’ve searched the hardware stores and auto supply stores in town along with eBay, and the longest I can find are 2” which I fear are not be long enough to hold the lenses in place..

Tried Mcmaster Carr ?
thank you, gtx 6970,
they did come up during my search, but I didn’t see any 2 1/2” pan head in chrome. They might be worth another look, maybe i overlooked something.

Thanks BeepBeepRR, I did see these, but since they are for a 71, which is very different than a 72, I didn’t think they would be long enough. It would be nice if they had more of a description for them, though i’m pretty sure they would work on a 71.

i remember now, it seems they only have flat head in 2-1/2” and i’m wary that the countersink style might damage the lens. They do not have #8 screws pan head screws with #6 heads, either.
