Im having issues with the rear "L" shaped bracket classic supplies for the rear of there compressor. Was on the phone with them a few times and there tech guy did call me back. I will say there service is good. The bracket just does not fit correct. It looks like it was machined wrong . Its off close to 3/8 of a inch. The top of it hits the compressor body and it puts to much strain on the compressor and push's it to far forward. I tried everything to get it to fit,i leveled the motor and plumbed the compressor and no go. You need that bracket as without it the belts pull the compressor forward. Im making my own to fix the problem. It could also be the front bracket needed to put the compressor a little more up in the air, then the rear would fit. The tech guy said the plain of the motor, meaning i guess different heads,i don't know but there sending me another one anyway. Did anyone else have any issues with mounting the compressor---Thanks

Those sanden compressors are made in 2 sizes, which one do you have? If you have no luck, go to Bouchillion performance and look at their bracket.

Snake

What motor is this on? The factory bracket is different between 383/400 and 440. The 440 bracket is 3/8" shorter because the block is taller.. So maybe they sent you the wrong one?

Its a 383. The bracket (rear) they sent me is correct for my car. The 440 bracket is completely different. The bracket is shaped like a small piece of angle iron with two holes. One hole goes into the head the other gets bolted to the compressor. It only goes on one way and its to big. It was machined incorrectly. The only other explanation i can think of is the front bracket that holds the compressor. If it held the compressor up maybe 5/16 to 3/8 the rear bracket would fit. I just finished making a new bracket, i used part of the old bracket and a piece of 3/8 flat stock with a 3/8 hole drilled in it. I tacked it in position, removed it,welded, cleaned it up and painted it. Its a lesson learned that not everything aftermarket is on the money
