Classic Auto Air VS. Vintage Auto Air

I used Vintage Air, no complaints. From what I've seen on here over the years everyone seems happy with both brands.

Classic Auto Air has a new Perfect Fit Smart System and have updated their Perfect Fit Elite System, as well.

They also have the factory style center vent.

I have Classic Air perfect fit system in my 70 Road Runner. It has worked perfectly for over 6 years now.

As Dev said, people seem to be happy with both brands. I would simply get the system that works best for the particular application in question.

Vintage Air here, 70 Roadrunner non-AC car.
I deleted the (ugly) compressor, and used the very nice looking AC compressor that came with my CVF Wraptor serpentine belt and accessories system.

Let this be a warning to get your expensive parts before you retire while you still have a good income.

I would have a plexiglass hood if I had one of those pulley systems on my car.

I'm sure you know this, but my "ugly" AC compressor comment in no way was meant to demean anyone who has one. It just happened that the same time I was shopping for the A/C system, my wife and I were checking off a LOT of boxes for BOTH of our classic muscle cars. I had done reconnaissance the day before, at Cruisin the Coast 2019, to see who had what at the massive Vendor Sales display area at the Gulf Coast Coliseum, and having been in sales at similar shows, I knew that the vendors/manufacturers/retailers were going to be offering some actual "today only" deals for buyers like my wife and I, people buying a LOT of major items, the last day their booths were open. I was able to get everything from one retailer, with the exception of the TKO600 for the GTO, which I was VERY fortunate to get at the show from American Powertrain, and dealt directly with the owner who was manning the booth. I got pricing so low that the staff said they hate when the owner makes sales, because he cuts the price so much.
I know that may sound like "a line" or "pitch", but it's true. I tried getting a hydraulic throwout bearing system for the GTO/TKO600 about 10 months after the show, when I saw how awesome it was in my Roadrunner, and even using all of my best negotiating skills they couldn't match the price they had given me for my hydraulic throwout bearing system.
My point is I knew the CVF Wraptor compressor was not only so fine looking as to not want or need to hide it, but I was buying all of the associated parts and systems related to that choice at that time.

Well, between the initial parts/systems cost, additional parts/systems that "demanded" or were required to be added on once the pre-planned stuff was going in, and the HUGE labor cost of NINE GRAND (and I believe I got a deal at that labor cost), what I thought was going to be relatively painless financially, since all of the "stuff" was paid for already, took me at least a year to recover from! I know the decisions I made were the most economical for what was being done and what we wanted, and made sense to do rather than half-assing stuff, but yeah, I get it, and that's part of the reason why we made such a BIG outlay at one time. Opportunity timing-wise for a great price, great planning for synergy to have the desired outcomes, and the financial wherewithal to take the leap. If we wouldn't have done that then, it definitely wouldn't have been done still, and that means it may never have happened.
One of the reasons why I bought my Bill Mitchell aluminum block. Now that that's paid for, I'm invested in "the 541 stroker" that after 3 friends my age died in 3 years, I decided if I wanted to do more than "talk" about it, but actually do it, I'd better get to gettin' or the "stroker motor" would have just been words on a forum, wishful thinking in my mind...

Steve, that's not a dig on you; I wouldn't do that. I just meant folks need to plan on stuff like that before they take a financial reduction when they retire. My income went down substantially when I retired.

Believe me, if I was still working I would be buying the pulley system for my El Camino.

Oh, I know buddy, my post was to assure you of the same. I never thought that, we're all good!
By the way...
I want to talk with someone at Progression Ignition before I do what I know I will regardless, buy one of their AMAZING systems. If they say anything post-worthy, I'll post under a thread already active.
Bless you my friend!
