my 69 bee with a 383 auto.came with the factory air set up.i have ordered the classic air hood compartment upgrade.it comes with a Sanden compressor and everything needed to replace the whole system on the hood side.i have 2 questions for you guys 1- have any of you used this sytem and if so was it hard to install?i am hoping that other than crimping the fittings on the hoses i can do the switch over myself
Question 2 is are the old orig compressor and lines with the condenser be worth anything?they all look good, compressor ran but blew the fuse everytime it ran with a little throttle.
Thanks for any input David.

The tech I paid to install it said it was easy. My non AC Coronet uses the existing heater controls. Distribution should be good since you have the factory vents in dash. It has been ice cold and problem free for 7 years. 32 at the vent with the digital if I recall. Don't know about value of existing components. Classic deals in that stuff. The only compromise is that you have to eliminate the passenger side vent.

huh, i didnt know that Dennis. do you just seal it up somehow??

im not too familiar with the setup and im just getting my feet wet with this one...A/C needs to go into the GTX in the next couple years; my fay *** cant take it anymore...lol

thanks, Mario

Not sure. I think other components took its place. When that cool dry icy air flows you will get over the loss quick. One of the best upgrades ever.

Well what would you want to get rid of them for? I have a brand new clutch that should make up for that fuse problem and my current compressor has a nice busted piston keeping it from working.
