The details are finally coming out on the proposed lib legislation on old cars (gas guzzlers, polluters, evil brute beasts).........
These drips are going to offer up to $$$ 4500. as a down payment on a newer car............some of the guys had thought that 500 bucks would be about it.......I laughed a little.........you ARE talking about Washington here.........they like to print money so we can get to the actual depression faster.........
They estimate (according to one source) that a million cars a month will be processed for crushing to "save our environment" !!!!!!
Now guys, if you think that a LOT of old Mopars aren't going to be caught up in this crushing mess, I believe you're smokin' something wacky.
How many historic cars are out there waiting to be scarfed up for $4500. or less in restorable condition? How many desperate people will turn down perhaps their only chance at getting a "decent" car by leaving that old clunk in the garage or barn instead of turning it in?
Lots' more to come out on this I'm sure..........but you can be certain that the tree huggers clean-up of America has just begun!
(If I was a really gloomy guy, I'd say you'd better start shopping for a cheap flatbed for your newly designated "trailer queen"..........) :santa:
