Coil spring quarter window regulator

Hmm I just found out my window regular didnt come with the black coil

were these coils found on 71 chargers as well? both of mine didnt come with it

not sure if its required or not

i did more research could it be those springs were only used for power windows?

they are required with roll up windows also
