I have a 69 plymouth satellite that is currently an automatic on the column. I am looking to convert to floor shift. The car currently has bench seats in it.

I am wondering if anybody has done this and which shifter did they use and if you have pictures to help with the placement of the shifter.

Any advice on this issue will be greatly appreciated, because right now there too many shifters to choose from

The car is a street/strip use, and 90% of that is on the street. I am looking for a happy medium.

Thank you

I had same deal. Put in a B&M quicksilver shifter. Subsequently got rid of the original column and put in a flaming river one. Cant send a pic cause the bench seat is out right now. Anything I can do for you with the seat out ( while I rewire) just ask.

the guy I bought my 70 charger from put in a b&m reverse pattern neutral lock out quick silver shifer in it, was a column. I have buckets with a jumper seat theres room for the switch

@ chattacuda, do you have a nss? I have the quick silver shift too and no nss, do they make one for that set up?

oh yea, The loose shifter mount on the column drives me nuts lol

tubo action scs shifter is what i install in all my street and race cars.quality and strength are better them b&m in my opinion.sure they are a bit more expensive, but as they say,you gotta pay for quality.:3gears:

Whatever you do, don't buy a B&M Starshifter if you have a bench seat. The stroke from 1st (low) through park is too far, and you will not be able to fit your hand on the shifter in park at the dashboard.
