Would appreciate opinions or experiences in comparing Hagerty vs Grundy companies. I may suggest at least IMO that Hagerty customer service people have always been friendly and helpful over the phone. I am checking with Grundy and they send me a 13 page proposal to review and sign and even though I filled out the application for insurance before hand their written proposal shows the minimum amount of insurance allowed hence (no kidding) price looked initially lower. I sent it back and asked them to quote me apples to apples.

Thoughts ??

I left Hagerty years ago. NCM Insurance with an American Modern policy here in PA. Agency is easy to work with but I never had a claim. Prices are very fair for agreed value policies IMO. They also understand some late model cars can be collectible which is what drove me away from Hagerty.

Any carrier who is underwritten by American Modern is my favorite. Insurance availability is a State by State thing so it takes some investigation. I have American Modern through Midwest Classic Car Insurance. Also the National Corvette Museum offers classic car insurance for any classic car and has excellent reputation and rates. I mean if you can please the old Corvette guys 100% it has to be good. They offer American Modern in States that it’s available.
