Hi all, just wondering what recommendations anyone may have for a filter system for using an air compressor for painting. I've been looking at the systems that Eastwood has but was wondering what you are using.

The best thing you can do for painting is to install a condensor just ahead of the filter to help get the moisture out of the air. You could buy commercial or make a perfectly functional DIY version by bending some 3/8" copper tubing into a bunch of coils that fit snugly around a 2 litre pop bottle. Fill the bottle with water or antifreeze. It acts as an excellent heat sink. I get at least a 75F temp drop from coil inlet to outlet. That condenses the moisture (both water and oil) out of the air and makes it much easier for the filter/trap to catch it.
