I hope you guys don't get tired of my questions, but find it hard to find resto parts for my 66 charger. Pretty much hve the dash redone including new cluster and rebuilt gauges. Would like to redo console front to back. Mine has a crack in it on drivers side and needs refinished. Chrome is not bad but definitely needs polished out. Would consider buying new if I could find any of the components. I am particular and don't want to patch things up.

Thanks to all

Seen front console tops on eBay, as well as new aluminum inserts. Don't recall seeing an entire 66 console, those full length one year only are rare as hen's teeth...

are you looking for the front plastic part of the 66 Charger console or what?

My suggestion is to visit the "66-67charger.com" forum and utilize the various links for various parts.
I do know several of the repro outfits have new console shells; ie like BE/A in Canada and others in the USA.
Don't recall re' the top plates. Be prepared to spend some $$$ tho.

nobody makes console shells for the 66 Charger....we have a member that reproduces the aluminum plate brushed inserts for them as well

Yes front plastic part, mine has a crack on drivers side, don't know if it can be repaired and look right. if I could find the whole front to back plastic shell, I would dye it and hope it looked good.

the console splits in 2 pieces half way down...I have a plastic piece here...you just needing the front piece?...I don't even remember what color it is...shipping is gonna be pricey

Are you looking for the front half, or the back half that is bolted up behind the storage bin.?The 66' satellite uses the same front, but a real short back half that makes the console look just like the standard console. (non charger) apparently Chrysler was trying to save money, and used the front portion for other cars. They did this in 1966. I junked a satellite, and have the whole console.

I recently junked a 66' Satellite, and it had the two piece console as well. Only difference was the back section was really short,as compared to the charger. It looks identical to the 66' charger front. I'll look up the part number in my book to verify. But side by side they look identical. I have the whole console assy, and if memory serves me well it was a perfect unit. It is green,,

I would definitely be interested in the front half if it fits the charger.

How is your top lid, and the front shifter cover lid?
I checked my console, part#2656306 fits Satellite and coronet only. Charger is 2657465 for manual, 466 for auto. They look the same to me, but Chrysler says they are different. I would go with them. my friends 67' charger uses the same console as the other later B bodies, and my 67 GTX. Sorry about that,,

I have a full 66 console, front to back. Considered putting it in my 67 at one time but I never bothered. Not broken anywhere. Green/brown (well not black) but they are quite paint able.
PM me your e-mail and I'll take some pics if you are interested.

Your console is repairable. Right from the factory the console is basically fiberglass with a sprayed on texture material. This can be repaired and the texture duplicated. I have repaired several consoles, including my own. The entire nose was cracked and a small section missing. Fiberglass work was completed. The entire console was sanded down ( old texture material removed), primed, texture material reapplied and painted.
