Can I use a externally balanced converter with a internally balanced crank?
Yes I know, it belongs with a cast crank.

You have to knock off the big counterweights off the convertor in order to use it. There is a smaller flat thin weight that's used to balance the convertor itself, usually on the side of it. The bigger square cut weights are on the same side as the convertor mounting lugs.

I know that stuff.
Here's what I found.
I pulled my engine. It's a steel crank 68 engine, 727 tranny.
What I found was a B&M flex plate and a converter with WEIGHTS!
Anyone have experience with running a car this way?

The answers you got fit the question...lol.
The B&M flex plate - which one is it? Counterweighted or neutral? Do you have the part number off it?
