I bought a Dorman H99069 hose and its about 14.5 inch long. Wont bolt to caliper, too short. Thing is I may have put the backing plates on the wrong side. Never thought that they may go in front. My calipers are towards the rear of the car. Closer to fenders. If so.. well I can take the rotors of and switch plates. Confirmation please on correct placement or correct hose length please. Thank you.

What are you working on? A Simca?

That is helpful! I took so may photos of the rebuild but none of the rotor, brakes. If anyone has a part number of a correct line, would be a big help. My FSM shows 3880804
