Does anyone have a pic of what the correct heater / AC core looks like ? I am getting conflicting info from vendors

Holy **** there is an AC evaporator core behind the heater core? **** me that **** is expensive! good grief how the hel are you supposed to rebuild these ******* things for $1500 in parts wtf?

Can anyone tell me if this is correct for the 69 RR? does it have a separate heater core form the AC cevap core like shown here? where do I get one other than fleebay?

Did you ever get your heater core back from Glen Ray? was it good? how about your evap core did it check out?

I want to run the all aluminum stuff since I have the evans waterless coolant and an aluminum radiator already. However it's unknown just how the condition of my self is. I know my heater works good and does not have leakes, the AC was already disconnected from my car when I bought it. thinking for peace of mind to just replace it all with new. but of course with the cost of all this stuff which is outrageous! I am thinking if my evap core checks out good I can just keep it. then on the other hand it the welds are old and leak later when I ad the classic air I'm screwed.

I had my heater serviced and restored by Glen Ray, it was a non AC core. Furthermore, it came back as new and no problems whatsoever.

Bob had a bad part from one of his suppliers and it leaked when he pressure checked it after the re-core. I should be on its way back this week but I have not checked on it yet. The evaporator held the pressure I could give it with my compressor. I could not see the reason to replace it. The heater core has infinite places to leak based on the way it was designed (the honeycomb like structure this is soldered everywhere). The evaporator seemed a lot more robust. Just the welds on the manifolds and as long as there was not trauma to it I can't see why it won't last forever. I think the R134 runs at lower pressure as well. I am taking the chance it will be fine. I will have the engine in over the next few weeks and I plan on pumping the system down and ensuring there are no leaks before I put the dash and glass in for good though.

Oh and those aftermarket parts looks so cheap compared to the OEM stuff.....

I like your preasure test idea that looks easy and confirming ill do mine when i get them out 10-20 psi max
