Correct Licence Plate Bracket Finish?

What is the correct finish for the rear licence plate bracket - 69 B body? Natural? Painted? Silver cad?

Bare galvanized and/or painted black. I've seen both, but most will state they were all galvanized.

Bee and Bird are both painted Black and to the best of my knowledge are correct. The one I show I bought to replace the Bee's holder to appease Justin and his harping.. LOL
