I am assembling a 500 stroker with a 440 source rotating assembly

I went a head and bought the 440 source timing chain set up and I can’t get it to slide onto the crank shaft.

I tried boiling it and it still won’t slide on

Can I use a timing gear tool and a hammer?

I won't do that. I'd use a brake hone to gain a bit of clearance. It only takes .001 or so to get the proper fit.
