picked this Coronet up over the weekend from a fellow board member. car has a lot of potential. was a pretty solid car before the tree hit it. not alot of rust. needs the quarter replaced, and the Caltrac got bent on the drivers side. a very fixable car IMO

Glad to see it will be saved, good choice and good luck with the project.

not for the faint of heart, but car should not be parted out. with what it has for a drive train makes it a good drag car canidate

So glad it found a good home. It made me hurt since I have a solid 65 myself.

I have a trunk panel (section between the tail lights) for a ’65 to go along with that lower 1/4 section.

Haven’t heard from your guy yet either... are you still interested?

Looks like you found a good car to fix. Good luck with the project.

2X on your getting the car. all of that is available/fixable. might have to shop a little to find the quarter trim but I'm sure it's out there. good luck with the resto.

I had an old school body man look at the Coronet. NO frame damage. needs a quarter panel, trunk lid, and trunk panel between the tail lights.
also need the Caltrac set up for the drivers side, the shock mount is bent down about an 1 1/2", also the spring is bent. Very fixable car.
Best part is he will barter out the labor with me. He needs plumbing and heating work done.

Good deal, great to find a body man who you can barter with, although I waited about 4 years after I wired up a friends shop till he had time to work on my car. Still feel like I came out ahead, even with the wait.

This is awesome. A Mopar SAVED. It just dont get no better. Well wait.......maybe if a chebbie was CRUSHED at the same time. Yeah that's it.

I`d check the junkyards for parts, there are still a couple 65`s out there.

Greetings from a 65-owner in Germany and good luck!

Dan

Well so far I have a dutchmans panel, trunk hinge bracket & dutchman bracket, a rear tail panel complete, and I just got the trim panel for the trunk lid. Waiting on a guy to get back from vacation to send me a trunk lid.
Last big ticket item is the quarter panel. This one is going to leave a mark,,, ouch lol
