Where do I find the paint code for my dash? It is not the same as the upper door T7 (Dark Bronze Metallic) The dash pads are P6T tan.

I don't think there is one specifically for the dash and I'm not sure what the logic is behind selecting the color. I have seen many cars with the dash being the same as the upper door frame paint then my Dart GTS has a white interior, white upper door frames and a black dash. Best you can do is find a spot that has original paint on it and go off that.

The color that's on there is pretty close to the color of the vinyl on the dash. I am going to an orange on the exterior and will probably carry that onto the upper doors but I don't think that it would work for the dash. If I can't find a code I'll just take the ashtray along to match it as close as I can.

My dad owned a body shop from mid 60s into the 70s. I have his old paint books. If you give me the year and type of car I can look it up for you.

It's a 69 Sport Satellite

R-M paint book it says Chestnut Tan - Tintometer Formula (available in Alpha-Cryl) No. is 169Y84. It has a footnote that says, Alpha-Cryl containing R-M No. 849 Suede Concentrate produces approximately the same degree of gloss as the original. This is the only tan color listed for the Belvedere line.

DuPont shows 5 different shades of a tan. For all Plymouth interior colors.
Low gloss colors
Lucite code
9602L Saturn Beige
9605L Desert Tan (light)
9606L Oasis Tan (medium)
9607LH Chestnut Tan (dark)

Flat color
9622L Buckskin Tan

My guess would be the Chestnut Tan.
Hope this helps you out.
