How much work is it really to get a rallye cluster into a 69 roadrunner which has the square speedo?

I'm going for the pro touring build (don't worry - not # matching car, which a lot replaced on already) and haven't found one single good looking custom one.. The rallye would be easier to work on with new gauges.

I haven't made that swap, but I strongly suspect all you need is the rally dash & the correct wiring harness. Chrysler was very good about building cars one-size-fits-all (probably to make assembly easier) so that every option that you "could" have either just plugs in or holes are already marked/drilled etc. I bet if you unplug the non-rallye dash harness the rallye harness would plug right in.

The only thing I noticed on my 70 RR was that if you had the tic-toc-tack, that circuit didn't come with the aftermarket wiring harness (separate single wire had to be added to the fuse box).

All you have to do is swap in a rally dash frame. Then the rest is easy.

I think he wants to retrofit a rallye cluster into his existing dash???

Is the dash out of the car?

I dont think it would be impossible but since you are going customer already, what not start over, when ever I put a custom gauge set in a car, I always just made my own plate and sunk autometers into it, use painless wiring and its not that bad of a job...

For what you are trying to do, I would pull the dash and strip it, then find your flat surface where the old cluster was, cut the dash so you can fit a nice big round tach where it will fit, I did a regal for a friend a few years ago, we put a big round tach, a digital speedometer, and matching small round gauges for everything else including boost and a/f {turbo car}... It came nice, you just have to start with card board and then weld and tinker until you love it...

Or like others say, find a rallye dash frame, rallye dash parts $$$$ and use something like the dakota digitla set for $$1000$$, but Ill bet that will be an expensive day, last rallye frames cost a bit, then all the parts that go with it can add up fast...

X2. I think this will be much cheaper, and if you are customizing it, why not? If you wanted stock rallye gauges and look, then that's a different story...

Well, full custom is a tricky way to go since it can be anywhere between ball and home run - and if you're not happy - you've just chopped up a perfectly fine dash :/

I think I'll start looking for a rallye frame and when the windshield goes this winter - I'll replace my stock one (to store in the garage along with all other stock parts) and replace with a rallye frame + dakota digital or others alike. If you can't post any good looking custom setups because I have sure as hell not found any good looking ones :/

With frame out - the rallye frame will bolt on yes?

And what about VIN switching on the frame? Big no no?

Thanks, I looked at the last one before but haven't found any pictures what it looks like when lit up?

Emailed them - still no pictures of it... Seems a bit sketchy if you ask me

So same as intellitronix but built into a stock pod?
