what is the best way to restore a faded dash to show quality? The dash is in good shape just a bit faded

my method is take apart, paint, reassemble, use appropriate paints for different material. the best way is always the hard way. it last longer and you be more satisfied.

What kind of car? There's so many pieces to address! You can do the instruments, but there's plenty more like the heater/AC controls, radio, dash frame, etc that should all be addressed to get a nice "new OEM look" to them all. If you skip on some, they'll show out even more next to the refurbished sections!

I pinstripe and can redo emblems to make them look nice and pretty close to original if anybody's interested

The number one trick is to apply 3 to 4 coats of clear and let it dry long enough before reassembling... Good Luck!

What about removing swirl marks and light scratches from the clear plastic covering the gauges? What to use?
