What do the letters DDCD found on some Mopar keys and parts stand for?

I believe it's Dodge Chrysler Plymouth Desoto. That one D is a P. Look closer

Probably late 50's very early 60's. Desoto stopped in late 1960 (for the 61 models)

November 30, 1960

DeSoto was beginning to struggle for survival and only two series were offered for 1960. 1961 would be the last model year for manufacturing the DeSoto nameplate. On November 30, 1960, DeSoto dealers were notified by telegram that Chrysler was ending DeSoto production in the United States.Nov 14, 2018

Edit: I do see in the early 1930’s it was Dodge-Plymouth-Chrysler-Desoto and was their parts division like Direct Connection or now Mopar Performance is today.
When I get back to my computer I’ll post the link.

Yep, definitely a P. I don’t want to hear any jokes about my eyesight. My eyes are fine. My arms are just too short.
Thanks for the replies

Last year for DeSoto was 61, but I have that logo on a late 62 built 1963 426 engine parts. I don't know when they quit using it.

The DPCD logo was for Dodge Plymouth Chrysler Desoto.
The Mopar label did come from the Motor Parts Replacement Parts Division, that got used by their parts departments by the '60's.

My Dad bought a '59 Desoto for my sister in '63. Interesting car, but I was only 10 at the time.

I had a neighbor many years ago with a clean two-tone green 57 DeSoto hidden in their garage for sale, but it was a four door, and I didn't want it.

Wish I had that to do over again!
